[12:15] trichan868: ...And then I am going to go to a bookstore and apologize profusely for accidentally shoplifting last week and pay for what I accidentally took. I had a slight emergency so I packed up my stuff really quickly, and inadvertently stuck the book I'd been reading in my bag instead of back on the shelf, and I didn't realize it till days later when I found it in the bottom of my bag.
[12:15] Guin: ... fff XD
[12:16] Guin: oh, Tri.
[12:16] trichan868: *sob* I DIDN'T MEAN TO STEAL THE BOOK!
[12:16] Guin: -pat-
[12:17] trichan868: I was looking for something else in my bag on Monday, and I pulled out that book and just staaaaaaaaaared at it.
[12:17] Guin: hahahahahaha
[12:17] Guin: from here, it's pretty funny
[12:18] Guin: Tri going "............... :|;;;;"
[12:18] trichan868: I'm glad you find my life of unintentional crime amusing.
[12:18] Guin: it's HILAAAARIOUS

"The Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've printed."
1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.
2) Italicize those you intend to read.
3) Underline the books you LOVE.
4) Reprint this list in your own LJ so we can try and track down these people who've read 6 and force books upon them. ;)
5) Asterisk those you own.

6) (added by Tri) Tilde (~) indicates books read out loud, primarily to younger sibling in her case.

I guess that makes my 35 a pretty good number, even if a bunch of them are children's books... there are some on here I definitely intend to buy/read in the near future. )

I highly recommend The God of Small Things, but beware, it's a bit depressing.
